What Merchant Account Alternative suits you?
Find out what merchant account alternative suits best for your web shop. Should it be as simple but effective as PayPal or are you looking for a high end shop software? This list shows you the possibilities.
The following list of e-commerce resources and merchant account alternatives is an excerpt taken from sitesell.com with their permission.
It was compiled by SiteSell especially for SBI users. So don't wonder why SBI is so often mentioned in the following list.
What is SBI?
SBI (Site Build It) is a system of highly effective tools, offered by SiteSell, for creating a successful business website that works. What means "that works"?
It means, that SBI enables you through a realistic and down to earth approach to build a website that gets at least hundreds but even thousend of visitors per day who DO the click and buy from you.
SBI is a great system. I use it myself for several websites and I think you should check it out too. Once you realize its value you never want to miss it again. At least that's what happend in my case.
Here is the list...
E-COMMERCE RESOURCES
Ready to Start Selling Now?
Your traffic should be at least 100-200 visitors per day before you even consider this. If you're not there yet, don't even begin to worry about starting to sell.
Without traffic, you won't get sales. Work on building more high value Keyword-Focused Content Pages until you've reached the 100-200 visitor a day mark.
There are so many companies that are quite happy to help you "get paid." If you've got the traffic, and you're ready to start selling, now's the perfect time to investigate the resources listed below.
Of course, if you're looking to sell hard goods, check out our own Store Build It! -- click here!

Services that process the sale of e-goods generally fall into one of two categories...
-
They simply process the credit card transaction, and leave you to fulfill the product (i.e., you have to upload the e-good and provide your customers with a way to access it. This can be easily accomplished with SBI!'s Upload Your Own HTML module).
-
They process the credit card transaction, as well as fulfilling the order through some sort of digital delivery system (i.e., you upload your e-good to their servers, and they deliver it securely to your customer after the transaction has been completed).
Therefore we've presented the services below on the basis of their functionality. If you want total and complete automation of the sales process, choose a service that processes credit cards and delivers your e-good via a digital delivery system. If you are comfortable with fulfilling your own products, save yourself a few bucks, and stick with pure credit card processing.

PayPal Shopping Cart
Integrating a PayPal shopping cart into SBI! is an easy "A-B-C" cut and paste affair (to see PayPal's shopping cart in action on a SBI! site, visit Jim Nelson's JuggleNow.com). Better yet, the PayPal brand is becoming more and more prominent on the Net. Using PayPal's service, therefore, may serve as an extra credentializing factor for your Web site. PayPal can also handle recurring billings -- even donations, if you'd like to ask your visitors to help you out! All orders are processed through PayPal's proprietary system.
